Erica Peeples was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, on May 22, 1984. She is one of four siblings born to Anndera Peeples and Richard Peeples. Her eldest sister was allegedly murdered when she was seven years old. Her relationship with a drug dealer caused her death.
