Early Life
Donalds was born on October 28, 1978, in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. His single mother raised him. In 1996, he graduated from Nazareth Regional High School in East Flatbush.
In 1997, he was charged with marijuana possession, but those charges were dropped as part of a pre-trial diversion program, and Donalds was fined total $150. Despite pleading no contest to felony theft charges in 2000, his record was sealed and expunged after he attempted to defraud a bank (by depositing a bad check).
According to an attorney interviewed by PolitiFact, Donalds wouldn’t have been able to get his record expunged if the state considered him a felon.

In 2003, Donalds began his professional career as a credit analyst at TIB Bank. The following year, he was promoted to senior credit analyst, commercial credit manager, assistant vice president, and credit manager.
After leaving TIB Bank in 2007, he became a portfolio manager at CMG Surety LLC. In 2015, he joined Wells Fargo Advisors.
Donald’s involvement in the Tea Party movement encouraged him to run for office. In 2012, he ran for the United States House of Representatives in Florida’s 19th congressional district.
